Customer Spotlight – Black Market Liquor Bar

This month’s California Linen Customer Spotlight features Black Market Liquor Bar. Since 2011, Black Market Liquor Bar has been revitalizing Studio City’s restaurant and bar scene. Its American eclectic cuisine by Executive Chef Antonia Lofaso is complemented by sophisticated cocktails and wine and beer selections by bar experts Pablo Moix and Steve Livigni.

Black Market Liquor Bar is known for great food, great cocktails and great service. They offer a complete dinner menu available from 5PM to 11PM nightly on weekdays and starting 11AM to midnight on weekends. The menu changes often, always featuring fresh specials and long-time favorites, but their signature offering is a heavenly dessert called a Fluffernutter, a deep fried sandwich of peanut butter, marshmallow and fresh banana.

Black Market Liquor Bar’s historic Studio City location was one of the first motorcycle shops in the valley. When it later became a restaurant, it was frequented by celebrities because of the movie studio located right behind it. It was especially popular with actors in Western movies and was known for its star-studded clientele of actors in this genre. Today, Black Market Liquor Bar stays true to the location’s celebrity heritage with Executive Chef Antonia Lofaso, who starred on Top Chef, Cutthroat Kitchen and Restaurant Startup.

Since opening in 2011, Black Market Liquor Bar has been using California Linen Services. They told us the “service is great and that California Linen always goes above and beyond”—high praise coming from a restaurant and bar known for great service. When we asked them what they would tell someone who is looking for linen service, they replied, “Just give Linda at Cal Linen a call!” California Linen is proud to serve Black Market Liquor Bar as well as the owners’ five other exceptional restaurants—The Local Peasant with locations in Sherman Oaks and Woodland Hills, Sycamore Tavern in Los Angeles, Scopa Restaurant in Marina Del Rey, and The Chestnut Club in Santa Monica.
